About
I work with smart, savvy moms who want that something “more” but don’t know where to start.
I also work with up and coming thought leaders who are serious about putting their message into book form but think they can’t write.
For each of my clients, it’s about finding your unique voice and values and leveraging those into making your dreams a reality. It’s about being the best YOU that you can be – because it’s the one thing no one else can ever do for you and yet is the greatest gift you could ever give yourself… or anyone else.
This is my passion.
This is my purpose.
Why?
Because I understand life in transition and the work that’s required to realize a dream. I’m a mom, author, and entrepreneur. But it hasn’t been a simple nor easy road. Sometimes it’s been my own choices that I had to learn from the hard way (don’t ya just love those?!), sometimes it’s been circumstances beyond my control that I’ve had to find my way through (my mantra in those moments: breathe in, breathe out, repeat), but I’ve always been one who believes in the possibilities – and works to create them for myself and others.
How did I get here?
I took the long way around.
For almost 10 years I put my own interests and dreams aside telling myself I was doing the right thing because it paid the bills, helped provide for my kids, and was a good career. Thing is, I was miserable, stressed out, and overwhelmed – I just wasn’t admitting it to myself.
Then my 49-year-old mother suffered a brain aneurysm and I realized how precious each day really is. Coming face-to-face with my own mortality at just 27 pushed me to reevaluate the life and choices I’d been making. I wondered, “If I were to step out my door today and not come home, would I at least be proud of the life I’ve lived so far?” At that time, the answer was “No” and I vowed to take one step every day until I could answer “Yes” each night. It took years to transform my life, but it took me years before I realize I needed to transform myself first. I don’t want others to spin their wheels, trapped in a life they don’t love, like I was!
Way back when, I began college by exploring Criminology and Psychology and graduated with a degree in English and Women’s Studies in 1999. A constant explorer of how people think and create their lives, I trained as a life coach in 2005 and began working one-to-one with women who felt torn between the reality of their lives, and the dreams they ached to create.
I published my book, Who Am I? How to Answer the Single Most Important Question You’ll Ever Ask, in 2008 and in 2009, partnered with Compass Coaching to co-created the Monthly Action Plan™ titled, Rediscover Yourself.
I continue to (try to) master the art of turning the challenges of the every day into meaningful experiences (I’m still human after all), and share the lessons of my journey with others. In my “off” time, I enjoy hiking, reading, cross-stitching, and spending quality time with my two amazing children.
